About the Role:

We have an exciting role available to support our buying team as a Buyer’s Assistant. Reporting to the Buyer this role is responsible for providing support to our Buyers. You will ideally have previous buying admin experience or as a trainee buyer. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, analytical and excel proficiency, which is paramount to key outputs you will own, including product set up and order management, product presentations and reporting. You will be required to build strong relationships with both internal teams and suppliers to achieve the outcomes of the role.

Your key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist Buyers with all day-to-day administration in a timely and accurate manner, including but not limited to reports, data entry, preparing presentations and managing wholesale stock transfers
  • Manage and maintain monthly marketing templates
  • Manage weekly press – store communication and memos
  • Support with administration of weekly reports including stock counts, wholesale stock transfers and weekly SKU reports
  • Assist the Buyers with developing a range selection and product grading in line with business and consumer needs
  • Support with pre-analysis and reporting, range roll up and sign off preparation
  • Attend range showings, preparing all documentation as required and providing follow up notes to all attendees

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in a similar retail buying assistant or trainee buying role
  • Proficient in Excel – analysing data, data entry and managing reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate with various stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to create, plan, monitor and execute multiple reports
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative
